U.S. Embassy Ljubljana (http://goo.gl/OEphmz) informs U.S. citizens that Tivoli Park (http://goo.gl/J1B8Lr) will host a concert
featuring DJ Umek (http://goo.gl/2opebM) on Saturday, August 31. The venue will open for patrons at
approximately 4:00 p.m. The event is scheduled to conclude around midnight. We
expect there to be a significant increase in pedestrian traffic in the area between the
hours of 2:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Sunday).
Attendance estimates for this event have run as high as 20,000. There is a high
probability of excessive alcohol consumption which may lead to post-concert
disorders.
We encourage U.S. citizens to take caution and exercise appropriate security
measures. Be aware of your surroundings. Even gatherings intended to be
peaceful can turn confrontational and escalate into violence. You should exercise
caution if in the vicinity of any large gatherings, protests, or demonstrations.
