I think the amount of posts to make a social group should be lowered to 250 because I've wanted to make one for a while now and I think 500 is too many especially as you can pm at 100 posts

I think 500 is fine as it limits the number of people who can create social groups and we already have so many social groups for nearly everything.

You can always ask someone to make you the group and transfer it over to you.

The limit is fine. You can always ask someone else who meets the requirements to create it for you then transfer the ownership of the group to you when you met it.

This is exactly spot on. The amount of social groups we have is already quite large, and lowering the post count will not help that. We've been alright at 500 posts for quite a few years now, and I don't see any reason to change it.

As said, you can always ask someone to make one for you.

I just pulled some random numbers out of thin air...five posts per day is about 150 posts per month. 150 posts per month...two months, that's 300 posts... four months, that's 600 posts. Now, ok, you may not have five posts per day exactly, but some days, you may have more, and other days maybe only one or twice.

So, I think about four months should get you to the limit. If someone registered today, that should put them right around Christmas.


Now, I'm not saying break the rules and post 100 times per day just to post and annoy everyone in the process, but I *am* saying 500 posts is fewer than one thinks.


Hopefully Jess won't mind when I click her profile and see she posts 15 times per day on average.

Some people get 500 posts in less then a month, other in nearly a year. You'll get there eventually.
