I'm getting the tetanus booster shot or whatever next week and I'm fine with injections but I've heard that for tetanus you get it done in your bum or your thigh and my thighs are covered in scars that I really don't want anyone to see.
I was just wondering from anyone that's had their shot where did you get it injected?

I've only ever gotten that on my arm. I've never heard of getting it anywhere else.

totally understand about your scars but dont worry most injections now-a-days are done on your arm unless its a epi pen. my booster was on the arm btw......as for the pain i forget which booster it was, pretty sure its tetanus, your arm will be little sore

Thanks guys, that puts my mind to rest a bit. Yeah I heard it'll be a dull ache for a few days but I'll get over it.

Unless it's an epipen or a rabies shot, most are done in the arm. Booster shots definitely are so you don't have to worry about it. I didn't find it hurt that much but maybe it's 'cause I had to have a shot done in both arms the day I had mine so I had to get over it pretty fast. :P

I've only ever heard of babies/young kids getting it done in legs. I believe it has to do with the bodies ability to process inflammation, but don't quote me on that. I can't imagine they'd ever give a teenager a shot in the legs, unless medically required. Assuming you've had shots before on your arms, you should be getting this one there too, and you aught to be fine. :)

I haven't heard of teenagers getting shots on the legs unless it is something to do with Epinephrine being given as it often done in the leg for some reason or another. But a simple tetanus jab is usually done in the arm.
So hopefully you'll be fine and have it done in the arm.

Arm and thigh. Not fun, at all.
