I need help like tonight. Ok so here's the problem. There is this girl who I just started being friends with a week ago and homecoming is coming up at our school and well this new girl I'm friends with likes me and and wants to go to the dance with me. However I don't want to go out with her but instead I want to go with my best friend because it wouldn't be as awkward but my best friend is also good friend with this girl and she knows how much she likes me and doesn't want to hurt her friend by going to the dance with me. I'm a really nice guy and this girl that likes me doesn't have many friends and I don't want to hurt her feelings but I font want to go with her. But the only reason this girl wants to go to this dance is because I'm going and she is really shy. I NEED HELP THIS IS VERY URGENT SO SOMEONE PLZZZZ HELP ME.

Just tell her. It's not a big deal and you can't avoid potentially hurting her feelings but don't go with her if you don't want to. Plus if you say yes and she takes it as a sign you like her back, you're just putting yourself in an awkward situation.

Don't worry about it, it probably won't go as badly as you might think.

We don't have homecoming here but can't you go with just some friends or something? Or ask your best friend to come hang out with you as a friend rather than a date. I don't think she's wrong not to want to hurt this girl's feelings though so she may still say no. Give the situation time to settle and see if there's anyone else you can go with just for fun.
