Šterbenc Warns Against Military Strike on Syria

Primož Šterbenc, a Slovenian expert on the Middle East, has warned against military intervention in Syria. He believes that to establish the truth a more thorough investigation by independent UN and other experts is necessary. The analyst says Syria is the venue of the strategic power struggle between the West on the one hand and Russia and China on the other. In the case of a military strike, Šterbenc warns that Iran, Hezbollah and the Shia-dominated Iraqi government would intensify their support for the Syrian regime.
