You should be taken to a new page where you put a title in, then some content

du u click on user cp cuz the only thing that is under it is the post reply button

Go to the forum you want to post a topic in, like Tech Junky's Paradise, where you can see all the topics. Where post reply is on a topic, there will be a button saying new post

When you go into a forum (the way you would do when you reply to a thread, which you've done), you will see this (with different threads depending on the forum, of course):

Where I have the arrow pointing is where you would go to post a new thread (it says new post). It's in every forum you'd want to post in, and it's in the same place throughout. :)

YOu may not have the permissions to if it is Announcements or Job openings

The thread was originally a post in someone else's thread, the post was split/moved and it created a new thread and was moved here.

That's the New Posts page, so there's no button to create a thread there, as it's not a forum section...you have to go to a forum section like Virtual Teen HQ (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10) (or most of the sections listed on the index page)
