Bullying Section

I think there should be a "Bullying" section of VT, since a lot of teens nowadays are getting bullied, and I think it would be good if there was a thread where people could talk about their experiences, and ask for advice.
I know you can put it in the "Abuse" section but that would be mixed up with other things.

I don't think we really need an entire section for it, and I personally think it's alright in abuse. Bullying is a form of abuse, it just happens to not be 'illegal' in the sense that other types of abuse are.

I totally see where you're coming from, but I do think we're alright the way we are.

Thread or section? They're different. I don't see anything wrong with a sticky thread about dealing with bullying, but a whole new section isn't needed.

As the others have said, there isn't really a need for a whole new section just on bullying.
I totally get where you're coming from man, I used to be bullied and a place to vent about it may have been nice for me at the time. Perhaps a sticky in the Abuse forum section would be more practical...?

That's true, but in the abuse section, I see more "Sexual/Physical abuse" stuff, than "Bullying" stuff.

I think like Val said either Abuse or possibly Family and Friends depending on the situation. Also if you aren't comfortable sharing this information with potential guests who visit the forum you can post this in The White Padded Room as this is a members only section meaning guests can't view it.

I think they should do a section also cuz well yes it is abuse BUT they is cyber bullying. Physical words group just by ... Really there r so many I think there should b one and I have also suggested this also

Psychological abuse isn't physical, abuse is abuse however it happens, it doesn't matter if there's physical contact or a screen between you, it is still abuse

No need for a whole new section especially if it won't get much activity. It fits in the abuse section.

I don't think that's a bad idea.

The section doesn't only have to by sexual or psychological abuse, abuse and/or bullying of any kind can be posted about there and I think some people don't realize that.

while they are all abuse bullying is often confused to be something else when deep down it is abuse so I thought it'd be a good idea to roll it in and make it more obvious that bullying can go there. This (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=70844) sticky is already in there so it's not just throwing it into a section, bullying has already been put in there it's just not very obvious :P

I agree with you, I think labeling it clearly is a good idea.
