Ok I don't know where this belongs but I figured it would either be here or in relationships and dating. Anyway, so my boyfriend broke up with me the other day, but he said he still loves me. He said he did it because he felt bad because he couldn't take me out on dates (his parents don't really approve of him dating) and he never did anything for me, and he hated himself for it. He said he wanted to just be friends. I haven't eaten since he told me, and I didn't sleep at all last night. I already miss him and want him back. Does his reason for breaking up with me make sense to anyone? What should I do about wanting him back, and are there any ways I can get him back? How should I handle this?

Talk with him. Even if their parents dont aprove your relationship you could still text each other and try to spend time together. You could invite some friends to go out to the cinema, with wouldn't be a date but you would be together.
Try to eat, i know it hurts and seems the worst thing in the world but not eating doesn't help :(

Honestly girly...I think he was sugar-coating things for you.
If he loves you, he'll come to you. He'll find a way of being with you.
In all truth, I think he's trying to let you down easily. Maybe things just weren't working on his part and he feels like he needs time alone.
Boys can be quite tricky and very indirect about how they're feeling, don't take my words and jump to conclusions (I may be totally wrong), but you should try to talk to him and urge him to be truthful with you. Tell him how you feel, too. He might feel like he wasn't treating you fairly, or like he wasn't a good boyfriend...if you disagree, let him know! Sometimes boys are really insecure, and they act in rash ways to try to hide it.
Best of luck. :)

But why he still is saying that lover her? insecurity? Not wanting to have fight with her? hurt her feelings? Maybe another reason, maybe is true the parents are having control over him in such way that he can get rid of it. I dunno, I agree with Inky some boys r tricky but most of us are simple and plain.
