You could talk about your trips with other people that like the same thing and such

you can make a group for hunting and fishing... but I don't think a whole section is necessary.

You can always make a thread about it, or you can make a social group when you reach the requirements (500 posts and 3 months of membership, or have someone make it for you and transfer it for you when you have enough posts), or you could request a diary (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=14), which would be about hunting and stuff.

I don't think a forum for hunting is necessary, and it's really just not fit for Virtual Teen.

Don't think it'll be popular enough, so a new section isn't needed. A new group or diary would work though

That's unnecessary.

The section wouldn't be very popular and it isn't needed. Like Val said you can easily request a diary if you meet the requirements.

I agree with Jess its not needed. you have the time but not the posts required to start a group...but you can try and find someone to start a group for you then transfer it to you once you have the required posts. You could also start a thread in a diary.

Maybe a social group once you reach 500 posts is maybe a good idea?

Maybe a Hobby section then? Cause that can include hunting, fishing, collecting, shopping, ect. It would be more active i think.

I think almost all of those topics would fit into the different forums already existing in the Teen Lifestyle category:

Maybe an "outdoors" forum or group. Hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, mountain biking, off-roading, skiing, snowboarding...basically, whatever you'd find at a Dick's Sporting Goods, Cabela's, Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shops, or whatever else would be similar.

Why not just post this in Sports and Fitness (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=139)?

By legal definition, hunting and fishing are both sports (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sports). It might not be the first thing you think of when you hear 'sports', and it might not be an olympic sport but that doesn't make it not a sport. Baseball isn't an olympic sport anymore.

As I said in an earlier post, when you have the posts/required time (or request from someone else), you can do a Diary or a Social Group, or you can use the sports and fitness forum linked above, as well as The White Padded Room (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=17).

You can always ask one of the diary owners if you can start a hunting/fishing thread in one of their diaries.

Good point. If there seems to be a crazy number of threads devoted to a single sport, no matter what that sport may be, then maybe a subforum could be created to help keep everything else separate.

I have seen some sites where a crazy number of forums exist...oddly enough, most of them are forgotten about...too much "noise" and not enough "signal" as some say...
