A ceremony is being held in the village of Rovte to mark 70 years since the forming of the Slovenian anti-communist Domobranci movement. The movement is marked by controversy as it also collaborated with fascist Germany during WWII. Organizers say the ceremony is part of the Europe-wide anti-totalitarian regimes day. Opposition leader Janez Janša is also expected to addressed those gathered. Left wing parties and WWII partisan organizations are opposing the ceremony and holding a rally outside the village.
