Hi, guys!

I'm 13 and I want to get ripped. In 2 last years, when I grew up I lost many fat which I had when I was child. Last school year, I started to play basketball and got better in gym class in which I was bad when I was child. Basketball made me stronger, but I haven't lost that little fat on pecs, stomach and legs. The school starts on 2nd September so starts my gym classes and basketball trainings, both 2 times a week, which means 4 times body activity a week. I think it's not good enough if I want to get ripped. As a result, I want to get body like this.

One time, I lifted some weights which aren't heavy, like 4.5 lbs so my biceps are pretty strong. I want to make my body ripped and hot. Am I supposed to go to gym for that? Am I too young? Have any of you had the same situation? How to tell my parents to let me go to the gym? Which food should or shouldn't I eat? What excercises should I do? I'm 5.8 ft tall and 145.5 lbs heavy.

I'm not getting you here? I recently just turned 14 and I'm sorta ripped. I used to be fat too but then I just started working hard and in a year I got to what I am now. Really just push yourself every-day. My workout consists of 3 casual workout days, 1 rest day, 1 hard workout, 2 rest days.

The casual workout goes as follows:
200 crunches
50 pushups
100 situps
50 Jumping Jacks
5 minute planks
50 reps of 15 pounds on each hand.
All throughout the course of a day.

My intense workout is:
I jog for 30 minutes.
100 pushups
20 minutes of planking
Crunches with weight - about 200
crunches without weight - 200
situps- 200
100 reps of 20 each hand
then go for a swim and do
10 laps and 10 pull-ups on the diving board.
Hope this helps, as this is what I did and in about a couple weeks you should see big differences.

You should lift 2-5 Kg in one hand to strenghten your biceps. That's it for weights.U need to do abs, cardio, and bar exercices.I do mostly pullups where i have a bar.And yeah u should do pushups everyday 10 in a row 5 times with 30 sec rest.I want to get ripped too,i wanted to start last summer,i worked out one week and stopped.I got motivated and by the next summer imma get ripped.i'll go shopping for some equipement. im 155cm tall or 5.1,5.2 and i got 43 KG

13 is too young to try and be "ripped"
you honestly don't want a body like that until you're 16-18+
you're in your teenage years and you're at a vital stage in your life so don't start training to hard and worrying about your body physique and counting every little calorie you consume

just eat clean and exercise and enjoy your teenage years. Worry about having a ripped body when you're a few years older

edit: also i do recommend lifting weights to gain some muscle mass, but you don't want to be trying to get ripped as young as you are

what do you mean 50 reps of 15 pounds in each hands? do you mean as in weights and curling etc? If so that is just stupid

This is one sensible tips.

Seriously, mate. Don't even try to force yourself into such a hard workout routine, because it can (and would) have permanent negative effects on your developing body, ranging from reduced height to bone damage.

Just be patinet and wait 2-3 years to start having a normal workout. Wait until 18 to have an intensive workout routine.

Wait until you're 15 and then start using dumbbells and stuff like that.

It isn't bad to workout, just at your age only do pushups, pullups and stuff like that.

The above posts I quoted are no way of getting a good, muscular body. You can only do so many push-ups, crunches, and sit ups until they have no real impact.

People make the stupid mistake of doing only 1-2 exercises for the abs, and they make the biggest mistake of working the abs out every day, that's fucking stupid. The abs are like any other muscles. They need a full day of rest. The best way to go when it comes to working out the abs is 4-5 different exercises, and doing 3-5 sets of 15 reps.

The best way to build muscle is with weights. So I would recommend doing the Stronglifts 5x5 program. It's pretty simple and easy, and builds a ton of muscle.

In order to build muscle, you must have a calorie surplus of at least 300 calories. If you want to lose weight, you must have a calorie deficit of at least 300 calories.

In order to build muscle mass and size, you should do about 3 sets of 8 reps (or 5 sets of 5 reps, or 4 sets of 6 reps). If you want to tone your muscles, then you should do 5 sets of 15-20 reps, to tone, you basically want high reps and high sets. But no matter what, you should struggle on your last 1-3 reps.

Wait until you're 15 and then start using dumbbells and stuff like that.

It isn't bad to workout, just at your age only do pushups, pullups and stuff like that.

It's also not bad to work with weights. The only way that bodybuilding or weightlifting can harm someone who's 13-14 years old is if they have improper form. But if they have proper form and technique, they have no need to worry.
