A poem I wrote

[Luminous]

It's really horrible. I'm not really looking for feedback or anything just thought I'd share. I wrote it on notes on my ipod which says it was written 100 days ago. It's called Northern Lights and yes I know it sucks.


Dark sky
Of blues and blacks
A bruise.

Fading, brightening
Into purple
Into green.

A flash of pink
A rainbow of colors
See the lights.

Reflections on your face
A smile
Eyes growing
Eyes flashing.

One blanket
Two people
Fur coats
Sharing warmth.

Hand in hand
We watch the show
Colored reflections
In the snow.

The sky goes dark
The stars come out
Of blues and blacks
A bruise, once again.

Count the stars
Shiver in the cold
Leave the locale
Search for warmth.

Just a memory
A jewel
So precious
The northern lights.

I like it! It's an original rhyme scheme I don't see too often...it has sort of a mystery to it and then everything is clarified.
