With a special concert in Slovenian village Begunje in Carniola tonight a three-day festival of Avsenik music started. Namely the world-famous folk music ensemble of Oberkrainer musicions celebrates its 60th anniversary. Until Sunday about 30 domestic and foreign bands will play the famous Avsenik songs. Up to the 6,000 visitors are expected. Today's first concert offers the most popular music of the band from the 1980s. The ensemble was founded in 1953 by brothers Slavko and Vilko Avsenik. The ensemble sold over 31 million records and is considered the most successful Slovenian folk music band in history.
