My parents and I talked about it when I first moved here (I was adopted when I was 13). They started to tell me about it and asked if I knew what it was and I said yes I knew. They didn't ask me if I did it or anything. They just said it's normal, private, and they didn't want me to be all hung up over it. My mom told me that if I had "nocturnal emissions" which made me laugh when she told me that, then I should just give her my sheets in the morning and she'd return them to me clean. My parents don't invade my privacy now because they understand that they could accidentally walk in and they don't want to do that. All they ask from me is to clean it up if necessary and keep good hygiene.
