Is anyone here a rap fan, like you dont necessarily have to be devoted but there has been a lot of damn good releases this year ( Authentic, Doris, Trap Lord, Wolf, The Gifted, Indicud, Watching Movies With The Sound Off, Yeezus, even Magna Carta....Holy Grail was alright but not extremely good.) Not counting Lil Waynes I Am Not A Human Being II and Trials & Tribulations, As they sound generic asf. And more to come from uninspired albums, like drake i heard is releasing a new album according to versace (remix) which unfortunately most likely will be shit because of drakes arrogance, so yeah is anyone out there or is this a primarily rock, screamo, alternative, etc audience. ( Nothing wrong with that i enjoy some 70's or so rock once in a while ) Please though express yourselves if you are out there lol. :P

Nope, for the most part you're alone :P I'm more of an indie/alternative guy.

No I don't really.. Sometimes a verse or two of rap is cool but not a whole song.

I'm quite heavily into rap, but these days it's mostly more underground UK artists. The only US Artists I really listen to these days are Tupac, Biggie, Nas, Atmosphere and occasionally Eminem.

Huge rap fan, basically the only thing I listen to, your not alone my friend!
I see you mentioned Yeezus, I havent been feeling Kanye that much in the last few years. As a person who grew up listening to Kanye, its saddening that he doesnt put out any quality music anymore. His albums Late Registration and College Dropout were so soul filled, it made your soul feel good. The samples were beautiful and he had a message to his music, now its just mainstream garbage.
Lil Wayne has always been, and will always be to me, utter garbage. He is the reason why a lot of people these days dont like rap. They hear his garbage on the radio and automatically assume "All rap is drugs, sex, guns!" which is completely wrong.
Jay Z is a legend but his new stuff is kind of weak. I prefer his older stuff(90s, early 2000s).

I'm just a old school/underground rap type of guy. I dont like the new rap sound, lyrics, or how all of it is just aimming at the mainstream pop charts.
People these days just need to understand that Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz dont represent all of rap...
Exactly how i feel except that i think yeezus is more of kanye west really expressing himself especially new slaves
