Uncut guys public showers/changing rooms

When I was showering after swimming today, I naturally pulled my foreskin back to clean underneath, and some kids about 13-14 y/o gave me some funny looks after seeing what I was doing. I kept it pulled back when I walked back to my locker and the same kids kept looking at it.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it rude to pull it back in a public shower?! I never felt uncomfortable about doing it until now :/

It's not rude to do. It's a very personal thing to do. I don't know of guys doing that publicly, more as I've not noticed, but what you have done is quite hygienic, so don't worry

Thanks for the reassurance...I put it down to maybe them not seeing one pulled back before or something. I'll try and do it more discreetly in future though, it's just habit!

I attracted the same type of attention when pulling back at a urinal. There's nothing wrong with doing it, but the others were probably reacting out of curiosity.

Dude im uncut too and although I cant pull it back all the way down I think u r doing the right thing. I think kids r curious cuz u r uncut maybe? Cuz here in the states is not common uncut guys.

Some kids dont know difference between cut and uncut. Best thing to do when washing is to do it without attracting attention.

I'm not from the US though. I'm from the UK, everyone here is uncut! I just think they've never pulled their own back before so they're just curious.

I just pulled it back without thinking really, I can't not go in the shower without skinning back, just habit of hygiene!

Probably is because they have never pulled their foreskins, but actually in my opinion is becauase as they are in public showers the dont pull their foreskins in public and they were curious with you because you did!

I think its probably because of the public thing. I am from the UK and uncut and when I was in showers after sport I didnt because of public nature but some other people did and many were confused by it. Its natural to clean there though!

I'm from Sweden and here almost everyone is uncut so it's nothing really. Anyhow, dont know about the UK though.

I couldn't retract until 16 but knew I should be able to for years.

Glad other guys do this too. I can't not shower without pulling my foreskin back, I just wouldn't feel clean afterwards. Although leaving it retracted when walking to my locker, I'll avoid that next time.

I just read this thread again and it reminded me of something. Since you're in Britain they may have thought it odd to keep it retracted for any length of time. Here in North America it's the opposite, and I have seen one or two guys keep their skin pulled back in order to look cut. One of them was in my gym class and was a couple of lockers down from mine. He would undress, hold his towel up in front of him and secretly pull the skin back and keep it like that through the whole shower. I will give him credit for being clever, but that's a lot of work just to pass for being circumcised.

Yeah that does seem a bit strange. But even when I pull back I don't look circumcised, the skin bunches up and my head is really red/purple, don't know if this is the same for other uncut guys.

Not going to stop retracting in public though, it's not as if I'm jacking off :)

In my school there are no public showers/i mean there are two but no one is using them so i cannot help you bout this.

Im from the UK and just about everybody seems to be uncut. Certainly all my family and friends are. I always pull it back to wash underneath because thats basic good hygiene like washing your hands. What are you showing that a cut guy isnt showing all the time? You can stay turned to the wall in a public shower so they are less likely to see - or if anybody is 'offended' then they dont have to look do they!
