At the moment I am lying in bed in absolute pain and at the moment I have my knees tucked into my chest to prevent the stomach cramp, unfortunately that doesn't help my back. I had a tablet my mum gave me this morning and she said it should work, but it hasn't. I feel literally like I'm dying here and I am not getting enough sleep. So I don't know, if this will happen every month from now or if its because my flow is heavy. Very heavy like I have to change every hour or so into night towels in the day time, also this will affwct my athletics coaching and I really enjoy doing that, is there any tips to try and make it better or more durable? Thanks you.
(I don't know if it's the right place to post this move it admins if need be)

Dianette is actually a hormone medication with a side effect of being a contraceptive, there are many uses for it and I wasn't aware painful periods was one of them, in fact I've been on it for years and I've experienced painful periods while on it. The best thing to do is go to the doctors, they can give you something to try and settle the pain down, in the meantime get a hot water bottle and keep it on your stomach, it helps, a lot :)

I put a hot water bottle on my belly and take 2/3 ibuprofen every 2-4 hours. Also drink some tea, there are lots of different teas specifically for period pains. Some of them also help to calm your hormones and acne or whatever.
