A woman high school teacher has been suspended after pupils discovered an internet video of the teacher in a raunchy commercial.

Sarah Green was suspended from Stockport Grammar, an exclusive co-ed school in England, after students began circulating a YouTube clip showing Ms Green in a steamy sex scene, BBC News reports.

"I have taken the decision to suspend the member of staff from her duties pending the conclusion of an investigation," school principal Andrew Chicken wrote in a letter to parents.

"The suspension implies neither guilt nor innocence."

The two-minute commercial, filmed two years ago when Ms Green worked as a model, was produced for clothing company Scruffs Workwear.

It shows the brunette play the role of a secretary who seduces a workman, with the pair at one point simulating a sex scene over an office table.

The commercial never aired due to its graphic content, but it was circulated to various construction firms in the UK and even won prizes at an advertising awards show in Cannes.

Marketing manager for Scruffs Workwear, Chris Dollman, told The Sun newspaper the ad "was a tongue-in-cheek thing".

"She did something for us, it was her job, she was an actress and model at the time," he said.

"Now it's come back to haunt her, and it's very unfortunate.

"It's not as though it's hard porn."

That's pathetic.

Well yes it is. But then again the students wouldn't have known or anybody for that matter.

I know this sounds harsh but its her own fault. You have to be accountable for your past and what you chose to do. I think its unfortunate that this got dug up and wasn't necessary, but you have to prepare for repercussions when doing something like that.

Yes I would highly agree that it was her fault in doing that. But it's still a mystery about what the students were doing looking at videos like that on youtube.

Then they find her and then of course they tell everybody and that's what lead to this but just because a video of her is on youtube that probably should have been removed means that she losses her job just makes you wonder what this world has come to.

I'm sorry but how can it be alright to use someone's previous (legitimate) job against them like this?!

Well I'm just saying that when you do something like this and it is posted on the internet and it's something that you can move on away from that it shouldn't make you lose your current job

Some parents may not like the idea of someone who does sex stuff on TV teaching their kids.

It wasn't aired so it wasn't on TV and it's not a present day event as it was in the past with her previous job.

I know it wasn't aired on TV. I just didn't word it correctly. Plus I am not justifying them but just seeing how they may take it.

I wasn't attacking you, sorry if it came across that way.

right but since the ad wasn't shown for obvious reasons doesn't mean she has to lose a job that she had. It's not sounding like the students fault.
