I was browsing the forum and I noticed that it's very hard to distinguish who are the forum mods. There isn't anything that shows that they are different to any other forum member unless they have it in their sig. Now if I remember correctly there used to be a MOD smiley picture ya'know like the post one but I might have just imagined it. Maybe you should think about maybe putting mods with a different name usergroup colour that stands out. I just thought that it could cause confusion on if someone needed to get into contact with a mod and not use the report button.

Moderators only show in the section they moderate. For example I only moderate H&A so I'll only show as a mod in The Psych Ward, P101 and Help and Advice
Ali is a General Discussion Moderator meaning she'll only show up as a mod when she moderates GD sections.
As you can see she moved a thread from a GD forum to a H&A forum, she won't show up as a mod.
We do this so that members will hopefully contact the correct mod if a problem occurs in a particular section.

I am not showing as a moderator in that section because, quite frankly...I am not a moderator in that section.
I moved this thread out of a section that I do moderate, however. I don't think colors or indicators are necessary at all.
It's quite simple to figure out who the moderators and staff are - just click here. (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showgroups.php)

Oh awkward, I guess that makes sense. I guess I would know that if I didn't dip my toe in and out of VT! Thanks. :P
I'll be going now.

Just a suggestion. On this (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showgroups.php) page, it should show all of the moderators, and in this case the section they moderate. Like, 'Regional Moderators' section of it (for lack of a better term).

Better term: sectional Mods, at least I think that is what Mikey calls them

I don't think that's really necessary, and as Dark Wolf said they are called Sectional Moderators. You can check the announcement of any section to see the moderators of that section. If you are wanting to contact a particular sections moderator, that would be the way to do so.

Your post was kind of rude, OP. We mean no harm.

Or scroll to the bottom of the page, it tells you the mods there as well.
If you have a bigger problem you would PM a Gmod or Mike, who are blue and red respectively everywhere.
Plus the mods usually have the word mod or moderator in their sigs.
It is not difficult, and the easiest way to alert the staff to something is the report button
