Sex with your best friend/s

Hello everyone - I talked to some friends of mine the other day and we talked about best friends having sex with each other. I was surprised most of them said, that this could never work!

I have a sex with my best (female) friend ever since 4th grade and it works perfectly fine for us.

Anywhoo there seem to be some very different opinions on that subject and I just want to know what everyone thinks about that?

Do you think it's possible?
Most say it could ruin your friendship but for me it even strengthened our friendship so I have a pretty predetermined opinion on that.

What do you think? Friends with benefits? yay or nay?

I'd say nay due to the simple fact that bigger attachments will form that are more powerful than just friends.
Plus what about either participant getting a proper partner? Where does that leave the one thats left out.
If you want to gamble then thats your decision.

I've had sex a few times with one of my best friends who is male and it hasn't affected our friendship at all, in fact we joke about it all the time!

I'm in a similar situation as you, Andrea. My best friend (also female) since elementary school and I have been having sex regularly for the past 3 years and love it. It really gives us an outlet to turn to when there's nobody else, and has given us a chance to explore our sexualitys in ways we may not have otherwise.

I hook up with my 3 best friends (all girls). It just seems normal to us. None of us are trying to date each other but if we're not dating anyone else this is a great way to have fun with someone we trust with no strings. There's never been any jealousy so it works awesome for us.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Every friendship is unique, so whatever works with that friendship. Some use it as an aid to know what to want out of future relationship. Some share a special bond and that's a wonderful thing if you have that. I'm also sure you have other friends that you wouldn't consider doing that with in a million years.

I don't think it's something you should expect with every friendship, but with a close friend and it is a mutual agreement, I think there is no problem, but if they regret it someday know that the blame is on them and they liked it at the time.

my best friend and me fooled around when we were 12 and have talked about doing it again. figure it's better than masturbating by yourself all the time. but we wouldn't go so far as anal sex.

It seems that most of you here have that sort of friendship with people of your own gender. Wich is interesting because - as for my friend for example - she considers herself heterosexual. And I guess most people will think the same. We don't even see what we are doing as something sexual, even though it obviously is. It's just something we do, just like we would play a game of cards. You could even see it as just friends helping each other out lol - because it just feels better than doing it yourself, wich can be good, while you're single :)

I lost my virginity to my best friend and she still lives next door and still continues to sneak over and meet me in the barn.
