Horrible First Day!

So I started High School today and it was the most awkward and lonely day ever! I knew i wouldn't know many people but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. I kept getting lost, and I was freaking out. To make it even more horrible, since I didn't know anyone, I was sitting alone at lunch for the whole time. I feel like nobody would even want to be my friend there like they would just be like, "Whose this guy?" Any tips on how to make it better?

Just walk up and talk to people that are your age, that's how you make friends. As for getting lost, just get to school earlier or stay later and walk around.

Last year, that's exactly how my year went. Hopefully, this year will turn out better. It's not that easy to make friends, especially if you're shy or new to the school. I'm fortunate enough to have friends coming up to my school this year. I know how you feel. I got lost a lot, too. I always sit alone at lunch, and I'm forced to this year, as well. Try not to feel bad. A lot of people feel the same way you do.

Try to find some nice people that you have classes with. Maybe you can ask them what the homework was, or if they like the teacher. You can use that as a conversation starter. The worst thing that can happen is that they ignore you. If that happens, you really don't need them in your life.

Yes first days at new schools are always hard - but do not get lost ask directions just let people know you are new - keep smiling

Thats how you always start when you are new in a school, all you have to do is take steps forward towards knowing the school better and building friendships with people, there is ALWAYS someone compatible with you.
