I love thrift shops, I buy a lot of cheap things from there that look quite nice.
I'd say that they're better than hugely expensive things, mainly because I can't afford that stuff, but either way, I like thrift shops aha
What about you? What's your opinion on them?

They're pretty good for shirts I find, I mean it seems stupid to have to fork out 20 quid just for a checked shirt, so yeah I'm a big fan

I hate to be "that guy" but I could never ever shop at one. I can't stand wearing used clothes unless its from someone close that I know. It just seems dirty.

I never go to one usually, but I wouldn't mind. I'm cheap anyways.
I guess Goodwill counts as one though? I like some of their stuff.

I hate to sound like an idiot but what is a thrift shop? I mean I've heard that song by Macklemore called thrift shop but other than that the term isn't used at all in the UK. We do however have charity shops where people donate clothes to various charities and they are sold in their respective shops, is that a thrift shop?

Yeah, haha, that is a thrift shop, I live in England too but I call them thrift shops rather than charity shops lol

I always go into them, hopeful of finding some unique quirky clothes but never do, so rarely buy any from them

I love thrift shops. I get plenty of clothes there and they're always in great condition. People say that you're either poor or cheap if you go there, but I don't give a FLYING fuck.
Plus, I got my N64 at a goodwill, and I always go there for classic games if I can find them.

I'm too scared to shop there and face the judgement of peers. Yeah, I know, I'm shameful.

I go there from time to time, don't really live close to one. I usually go for the price, don't care about the looks.

Eat, sleep, thrift (with school, photography, and a bit of artsy stuff mixed in).
Yes, thrifting is HUGE part of my life, I've been doing it with my mom since I was a little kid. My family and friends joke about it and call me the "cheap bast***" of the family. Let me loose in a thrift store for 5 minutes with $10, I'll find you stuff worth $100+. :P
And I'm not gonna lie, I probably have thousands of dollars worth of clothes in my closet- of course, being cheap as I am, I only paid a fraction of the price. I know all my low to high end designers and brands by heart and can spot fakes from a mile away. And I don't mean to seem snobby, but I honestly think I'm one of the few kids at school that are the the "best-dressed", that actually have a sense of fashion, brands, and what goes well together.
Basically everything that I own (well of course, aside from personal things) has come from a thrift/charity/consignment/second-hand store, garage sale, purchased used on Etsy/eBay, or gotten as a hand-me-down.
So yeah... did I mention that I like thrifting?

I'm just the opposite of you. Clothes I don't mind because you can wash them well... or if they're really used/icky, I don't buy them in the first place.
With furniture, especially couches and stuff, I get grossed out, no offense, because I have no clue who has been sitting on it and if they've had pets on it and all those wonderful things... ick. Same with bed sheets/comforters/rugs/pillows- I would never buy things like that used. Also when it comes to electronics, I kinda prefer to buy something new and have it as "my own" from the start (unless the thrift store price is a KILLER deal).

I never thought of how nasty a thrift shop couch could be... The consumer doesn't know what happened on it... ew.

I actually did find an amazing pair of jeans and a awesome shirt at a thrift shop. It all varies depending on which thrift shop you go to. Some have some pretty neato things, and others don't lol
