The Most Difficult Games

What are the most difficult games you have played? Did you ever beat them?

Here are mine:
Needless to say Dark Souls was a hard bastard playing as a wanderer, then I went back and played as a sorcerer and beat the crap out of everything.
Baldur's Gate, god it is hard. I am still trying to beat it with 3 different characters.
The original Mortal Kombat games are also extremely hard, they were made to suck out all your coins after all.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 was extremely difficult game to pick up as a newbie to the franchise, it is just continuous rape.

Yet, none of these games are frustrating, the difficulty makes it fun.

Soul Calibur III. I SUCKED at it. Of course, it's been a year or 4 since I last played it, so maybe I should try again some time.

Try SoulCalibur V, it is probably the easiest 3D fighter but still presents an honest challenge. Although Nightmare and Cervantes keep being as annoying as always.

I pretty much gave up on dark souls as I've had to look up youtube videos on beating the boss fights, I just finished Sens fortress. I could not imagine where i would be if it wasn't for youtube walkthroughs.

Lol precision platformers are and always will be controller-breakingly hard.

N+ and They Bleed Pixels were my two favourites.

Dark Souls is difficult on the first play through but once you get the jist of it it can become pretty predictable.

Don't Starve is a pretty difficult game, surviving through the winter can be a nightmare.

The DMC games can become a real pain to get through once you crank up the difficulty.

The original Soul Reaver was really difficult as well.

There are literally thousands of games that could be considered "difficult" depending on what the player is setting out to do in the game itself.

Dark Souls is difficult on the first play through but once you get the jist of it it can become pretty predictable.

The DMC games can become a real pain to get through once you crank up the difficulty.

Dark Souls is difficult if you play as a melee character and do not know the areas, play as a sorcerer and know where the firekeeper souls are and you will breeze through the game.

The DMC games are quite difficult, except DMC 2, because the enemies were just thrown over and over.

To me the most difficult game I have ever played would be Halo 3 (Legendary of COURSE)
, especially on Tsavo highway. I swear there has to be like 100 freaking Wraiths on that mission.
