It's more for curiosity, and to see how they compare with everyone else, more than anything.

Mainly because guys want to see how they "measure up" (no pun intended) to other guys.
In my opinion it's stupid. I've never measured my dick and I never intend to, because I honestly don't care if the guy next to me in class has a 2in penis or a 2 foot penis. Lol
The average size is 5in and that's right about where I am, so I don't care about other penis sizes.
