i herd about that camp. I read about it at the-n.com. apparently the kids who went said they were treated like crap. the kids who went were forced by parents...only what i read i cant find the aricle about it though...ugh

to the point...i dont think people can change who they really are. i mean maybe you can change it through the hormone thing but its who you are so personally, i dont agree with it.

patch i am bi. i am not homophobic. i think it can be cured. if what i say gets scientifically proven then everyone will admit its a defect and get cured. many of the forums are diseases and no one is insulted by it. schizo, bi polar, chemical depression, and other illnesses. vt is here to help. so no one here should be offeneded at all.

I agree with austin, I myself am gay, but the only reason people are gay is because they're born with a chemical imbalance in their brain (or so to my sources). And someday in the future, scientists will find out how to balance these. But For now, if they found it out, I wouldn't go to get it fixed, I like being gay. I don't want to like women.

Disease?! It depends on what you mean by the word
Disease:

Here I would say, you are wrong. It is not this form of disease
2. A condition or tendency, as of society, regarded as abnormal and harmful. With this meaning you are right. We live in a sick society that views gays this way.

I do not believe it is a disease, and definately should not need to be 'cured'. If our society was correct, this wouldnt be an issue.

Why would you need a cure for it exactly? I mean, it's just feelings toward another person. Yes, it is the same sex but there shouldn't be a cure for being gay because it's how you want to live and it's nothing that can be cured.

No because it's not just feelings, it's a chemical imbalance in the brain. You're either born with it or the imbalance happens during puberty.

Though someday a 'cure' to homosexuality will be created and hopefully by then, the society will accept gays so nobody will want to take it. And then possibly that'll be another stereotype? Someone who was gay and took this drug to become straight is a bad person, just like gays are viewed as bad today by society.

Ever heard of a thing called condoms? Gays can use condoms aswell :) So youre no more likely to get AIDS whether you are gay or not just use protection so you're first reason is invalid. Does that actually happen? People killing themselves because they are gay? Because I havn't ever heard of it.

Only is Massachusetts if you are talking about the United States. You wouldn't believe how crazy it was up here when that happened. And many states (i.e. hard republican states) have put a ban on Gay Marriage. They only way gay marriage can be legalized, is if the president puts it through. If that does happen, all hell will break loose.
