Well my parents would never go as far as having drug tests, but they definitely like to know who my friends are and what we're doing. They even like to know my friend's parents. Fortunately, everyone is well mannered so there aren't any real issues even if it's annoying at times.

I think you have to realize how you present yourself makes a difference. If you look a certain way people will make assumptions. It may not be fair, but what is?

For me this comes back around to the scars I'm going to have on my face. I know that people will make assumptions about why I have them and there's nothing I can do about it, so I can try to make up for it by not dressing in a way that makes people make further assumptions.

I guess it's hard if you're a cool kid or whatever to dress and behave more conservatively becasue your outgoingness is probably part of why you have friends. It may be a little easier for me as I don't have any friends so no one to impress with how cool I am. Unless there's some assumption that goes with hiding in a giant hoodie I think my clothes send a very neutral message.

How you win her parents back over is a mystery to me. Good luck though.

Parents are ridiculous. But you have to try to make things work for yourself.
