Help about chat room lol

Didn't know where else to post this but am fully confused cause i got banned from the chat dont even know why cause i didn't do anything lol
Some Nirvana kid comes in and throws insults at me like !?
Just want help on how long your banned for or do you get banned forever? lol

Tried contacting the moderators but no reply.. :confused::mad:

This could be placed somewhere more appropriately, so I've informed the mods to let them know it's in the wrong place. The mods are the only ones who decide how long you're banned for, although I'd say it would depend on the nature of the offence. If they banned you then I'd guess there's more to the story than you're telling us. Also, if you only gave the moderators a few hours to reply before posting this then that will be why you have no reply. They all have lives outside of VT, and cant be on all the time because of them, you should give them at least a week before posting something.

Thank you for that. I was just curious as to why i have been banned since i am new here and i shouldn't have to put up with being bullied over the net when i have done nothing but mind my own business and was happily making new friends.
Im sure you wouldn't let someone say horrible things to you would you?

You're new here, so you obviously don't know how the mods work. They wouldn't just block someone for no reason. If it turns out the mods did make a mistake, then I will apologise for coming across as insensitive, which I didn't mean to do. But if mods block someone from something then it wouldn't be from someone elses actions. If she was being bullied, then they would have blocked the offender, not the victim.

Well if that's all there is to it then I apologise if I came across as insensitive. If you are or were being bullied over the Chat Room, then I suggest writing a message to a global moderator (as they have more power) and asking them to review it. If they then see and agree that it was you who was being bullied and you weren't doing anything to provoke it then, it is up to them what they do next, although they can unblock you from it and block the perpetrator.

As for you're remark, no, I wouldnt let someone say horrible things to me. I'm assuming by that you didn't, and that you retaliated? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong however. If you did retaliate and said something wrong, what exactly did you say? That could be the reason for your blocking.

I'm not even bothered. Just looking for information. You're not insensitive Luke you were just stating the truth which is completely fine.

But i know what i said back to the person that bullied me and it was not horrible at all was asking him to back off with his remarks.

The Chat room isn't a right, we have to pay for it each year. It's a bit of fun for all our members but if people insult or break any of the rules on the chatroom then you'll be banned to protect everyone who uses the chat room.

If you have issues it's always best to PM a moderator, don't make a whole thread on it because not only do the other members not know the case but they don't have the power to change it.

In the future please just PM the moderator in question, you weren't banned from the chat room for the fun of it- there's always a reason.
