P.E.

To make a long story short, I'm going into seventh grade in just a few days, and that means both showering and changing in front of other boys. Hooray! Not. Truth is, I am VERY self conscious when it comes to my body, and I seriously dunno how to handle this. It's practically a 100% chance of me getting an erection while showering and it is very embarrassing. Any advice?

Well, when I was your age, I went into a bathroom stall in the locker room to change until I got comfortable with the idea of changing around other guys. If anybody asks "why you do go to the stall to change?", you can change the subject, shut them up, and make them look like a fool all at once by simply asking them why in the hell they are stalking and watching you in the locker room while you're changing clothes! ;)
In terms of the showering, my school district doesn't allow time for showering after gym class and thus doesn't even have showers in the locker rooms, so I can't really help you on that front because I never had to deal with that issue.

My school never allowed us time after PE to shower in the lockers and no one ever changed their underwear. Now that I'm 16 and in my last two (optional) years I can chose whether to do PE or not and I said NO!haha Anyway sorry I can't really help you but just don't draw attention to yourself and keep your eyes on the ground if getting a boner is that much of a problem!:)

In my school we have showers but no one uses them because they will get called gay and stuff and we don't really have time! So just don't shower if you don't have to, you will probably find you don't have to or they are individual cubicals! And as for getting changed, on the first day just go in there pick a spot gt changed and just look at people's faces or the floor or ceiling and you'll be fine! After a while you will feel comfortable and be able to look at their bodies

i had that same problem last year but i found out i dont have to take showers and it is easy just take you clothes off then put them back on i am now a 8th grader so it is going to be easier once you feel comfortable.

In my school we don't shower and we don't have to change our underwear. When you get towards the very end of puberty, it's alot easier to control your boner anyway; I manage fine and I do look at other peeople ;)

In my school, we dont need to shower after P.E. because it takes up a lot of time. But when we have camps, we will hv to do it in one shower room altogther, im very self-concious too. So, i will wrap around a towel and get naked. Instead of entirely nude.

The only time in middle school I had to change in front of others was in 6th grade. We just had to put on shorts and a t-shirt for PE, so that means we didn't have to change our underwear.

I go to a private school, so that means no showering is allowed.

This is not a good idea OP, don't masturbate in the stall before hand. DON'T. If anyone finds out you do this you will never live it down.

If you don't have to shower don't, if you do, then just look at the ground and take a cold shower.
Someone will probably get an erection anyway, your all boys going through puberty. If anyone says anything if you do get an erection ask them why they are looking at your junk.

I was like that also when I was in 7th grade. Like i've seen in some answers above, I changed in the bathroom stall. Sadly some guys found out and used to tease me about it and even threw something at me when I came out couple times. So then I stopped going in there. I just was at my locker did it quickly and didn't make eye contact with anyone. Just think, there are probably a bunch of other people in there that are self conscious as well so your not alone. And really if someone makes a rude comment about how you look just don't even acknowledge them, if they're like that then they aren't worth your time and breath of making a comeback. Don't let this ruin your experience and just have fun in school.

Well, thanks for the help, I suppose. The idea about changing in stalls seems alright. And da. I guess I'll just try not to stare while in the showers. I'm not sure, but I think that there are walls inbetween the showers in the boys locker room. But I dunno. Never actually been in there. But, thanks again. c:

Just look at the wall or lockers, drop your underwear and get it over with. It takes seconds. Even if you do get an erection, all boys know what it is. I am so glad I had to start taking showers in middle school because it is so easy and even enjoyable now. Good luck!

I was like you too and became bolder as I got older. I agree with this. Stay a way from the stalls no matter what. It will end up bad. Plus keep moving and keep your eyes moving too and above the waist line. In the showers stay looking at the wall or during the shower close your eyes when you wash.

When i was a freshman i never showered. I just took a lot of deodorant and sprayed a lot of body spray on. That usually worked. I was frowned upon for not showering but it was just awkward.
