what i mean is a lot of ppl recently have been using P101(as far as i have seen) to get the 100 post requirment for PMing. I mean, who ever was system and saw me talking about should understand(in a way). OR if that can't be done, make it so that it is like ever 2 posts count as one or something.

We usually do get rid of the posts that are clearly only posted to get to 100, but there are some that through the cracks. We can't stop people posting.

Well P101 is one of the main reasons people use this site. They help people out and get a reward if you wanna call it that. it is too bad that people abuse the system though... I understand.

Taking post count for P101 away would be like McDonald's taking the Happy Meals away from their menu.

Unfortunately painfully true, while some of us don't overly like the place because of well.. look at it, some people do need it and use it respectfully, like Siobhan said you can't stop people posting, that damn forums the place with the most traffic

Puberty 101 does obviously attract members who're likely to partake and abuse the PM system for illegal activities and taking away post count in puberty 101 would to an extent I guess solve this. However we can't punish the masses for the few who abuse the system. I and other H&A mods remove what we like to call one/two word spam posts where the person might say "never" or "It depends" because basically it is spam.

Now the other alternative is we hide puberty 101 for guests so that they can't see it until they register therefore throwing some people off the scent. But then as others have said p101 gives this site a lot of traffic and as such we don't want to stop members form joining as most p101ers out grow and become semi active members and start posting in other sections.

The best we can do is be vigilant and if you think people are spamming to 100 or bumping a load of threads and abusing the site then send a PM to a mod or member of the senior staff and we can investigate further and possibly stop the acts before it happens.

I guess one way around it would be to remove the post count for surveys and things, those aren't reasonable questions, but even so it's more effort than it's probably worth

It would be too difficult to enforce, sadly.

And the only way to do that would be to create a section for surveys and turn off post count for that.

But I don't think that would really ever happen as like you said, probably more effort than it is worth.

People always want to punish P101, I don't understand why. P101 single handedly got us a good Google ranking, keeps our site traffic up and whether you want to acknowledge it or not, is the biggest part of the site :P Post count will not be turned off in P101.

Though this may be true that some people sadly abuse the P101 section, many users like myself made an account simply to be able to post threads and participate in conversations in P101. If your suggestion was made true, I would have half the number of posts that I do now because 99.9% of the posts and threads that I've made have been in Boys Puberty. This would not be fair to users like myself who use the section properly, follow all the section rules, don't spam, and try our best every day to help people with serious questions in the section.
The H&A mods usually do a very good job of catching the people who are just spamming for a higher post count, and the majority of those people simply made an account to cause trouble and will probably lose their account to a ban if they keep doing stupid things like spamming for a higher post count.
