So the time has finally come when I like a girl and she actually likes me back! We already went on our first date.. Umm yeah, not the best! haha We are planning for a second date. But I really need help actually! I am broke, and we need to do something more interactive! So any ideas on a good date that costs barely any money? But also want to tell you guys how much she means to me! We have been friends for about a year now and she just lightens up my day! I love talking to her! I always have this feeling that I want to protect her and always have her in my arms! She told me that she has meet no other guy like me! She's not perfect. She makes mistakes and so many guys bail on her when she makes the biggest mistakes, but I have always been there for her even if they are on me too. And that means so much to her! So many guys have bailed on her, except me. Anyways, we are planning on a couple more dates then I will officially ask her to be my girlfriend!

Go to the beach, the park, go biking/skating there's a boat load of things you can do that don't cost anything at all

We went to the park, and let's just say park right now isn't the best place for a date right now.

Since you enjoy talking lots and stuff, maybe go somewhere like a cafe and just spend the time talking to eachother?

This worked great for me so maybe it will work for you. I found out by asking innocent questions what she liked to eat. What kind of fruit. PB&J or sliced turkey. Doritos or chips. Stuff like that. I didn't ask all at the same time to tip her off. Then I put together a picnic of all those things that would work in a picnic then I took her on a picnic date complete with blanket. SHE LOVED IT. We had the picnic in her back yard, of all places. Not only did she love the time and attention I put into it but her mom appreciated the location. ;) I scored major points with them both. I was brave enough to kiss her in front of her mom after that and I was totally "in."

It's not what you spend, it's how it affects her heart.

Maybe this isn't the idea for you but get the idea of how a very cheap date can be amazing.

Do you have any nice bookstores (Like Barnes and Nobles) with a little cafe area? That'd be nice.

Go back to your place and watch a film or something :D

Maybe you could take her to a nearby lake or beach and just sit and talk, or walk. If not, just go to a cafe, the cinema, or a little walk around your town.

Good luck, I missed these kind of happy stories in this forum!

Congrats Jordan, glad you found someone that makes you so happy! :)

As for potential date locations, I've always been fond of "informal" places like playgrounds, parks, beaches, etc. They're more personal since the attention can be on each other, as opposed to movie theaters, concerts, etc. that focus on something else. They're also a lot cheaper.

But since you said the park isn't ideal, maybe a try a cheap cafe? Also look for "good deal nights" at local businesses ($10 unlimited bowling, $6 unlimited laser tagging, $7 movie nights, etc.) Going to the mall (not necessarily shopping) is a fun thing to do, just walking around, looking at stuff, and talking.

Outdoor stuff tends to not cost anything. A day at a nice park just walking around is really nice. The beach wouldn't be a bad idea.

Oh, and congrats on finding the girl for you. :)

Well just a feedback what's happening, we are getting better at eye contact and not feeling weird being together alone. Usually we are always with people around, so we are getting use to being alone! She just got back from Hawaii, so I can't wait to see her again!

Umm sorry to break the news, but because of stupid school I have barely been texting her and we only see each other once a week, and school kinda sucked my feelings out because I have to be so focused on it. So we are just going to stay as friends.

What!? You can't give up of her just because of school. You can keep texting her and hang out with her sometimes, she'll understand, but don't lose this opportunity. If you really like her, and if she really likes you, why so much delay? Keep fighting for her.
