A lot of games are over-hyped and turn out to be crap, share which ones you thought were dissapointing.
In my case Aliens: Colonial Marines was a disaster and made me very sad.
Brink was also a game with a lot of potential that ended up being misused.
Devil May Cry 2 was a sequel that did not live up to the epic-ness of its predecessor.

LA Noire- it wasn't a bad game but I really over excited myself for it, I was expecting it to be on par with GTA
007 Legends- as a bond fan I wanted to die after playing the first 10 seconds
Far Cry 2- So much potential but it was just such a pain, it took about 2 hours to finish one mission

Mass Effect 3's ending. Yes, I know they were trying to make a dramatic ending, and tried to show how war does not come without a price, but I was still disappointed when I played through both endings, and not finding any way to have a "happy ending", as I was hoping for.

Brink. Man, that game was rubbish.
Very dissapointed by the Thrillville series as well.
Halo 4- It was great at first... Until the updates.

Very dissapointed by the Thrillville series as well.
There was a whole franchise? I only have the first one, and I admit it did get pretty stale after a bit. Though it was pretty involved, which I liked.

Very dissapointed by the Thrillville series as well.
I remember those! For some reason I really liked it several years ago, so I bought both PS2 games, and the PSP one as well.
It wasn't that bad for a theme park game, I guess.

Manhunt 2. The story just wasn't as good and they actually fuzzed over all the violence, which was what made the original so fucked up and awesome.
Dragon Age 2. I loved Origins, after playing it I thought of it as my favorite game ever for quite a while, but I just couldn't get into DA2. It just didn't seem the same.
Anyway, that's it... For now.

Diablo III is really the only one that I'm upset with, considering how amazing the other two games are.
Actually, cutting out the terrible dialogue, I liked Diablo III, but the point of Diablo for me is not grinding or purchasing gear from the auction house but making the most of what you get that run. The length of the difficulties was way too short, so to get to cap you have to revisit such excrutiatingly boring content. I keep waiting for an expansion pack, but the fact of the matter is not even three expansions will give it the content it needed to have from the get-go.
Diablo came also in the worst time for me: when I started realizing how crappy WoW was. So I was even more agitated about the grind-fest. I used to regard Blizzard as my favourite company. You can imagine that's changed immensely.

Agreed 5000 times over.
My major problem with the bond series of video games is the last 3 I think have been made by Activision and essentially they've tried to introduce an awkward stealth mechanic but have a call of duty rip off feel.
I have played the first mission and I haven't had the urge to return to the game yet and I really wish I could be bothered to return to the game but alas I have no interest right now.
The problem is they need to introduce a good stealth mechanic that isn't awkward and give bond various gadgets and have a good storyline.
Games like Everything or Nothing, Nightfire, From Russia with love
These games all had a good gameplay and opportunities to use gadgets and stealth and I loved that.
Activision has just made awkward CoD clones out of all the recent bond games and I'm glad they won't be producing another as I heard their contract with developing bond games has expired.

This just made me think, they should release an HD collection of the great bond games.

Brink- could have been way better
Duke nukem- I loved and hated at the same time but bashed on because it was a dated game.
Dead island riptide- Wasn't expecting much from this game at all but when I played it, It was worse than i expected. The camera sway was horrible and it glitched a couple time on me in the first and only hour i played it.

You guys can hate me all you want for this, but I hate and think all Call of Duty games after the fourth one are way too over hyped.
Every single time a new Call of Duty is on its way, (every fucking year) people go bat-shit crazy. I understand that people can be excited for it, but people I'm around are convinced that it will be the best game of the decade and all that.
Don't get me wrong; I like some first person shooters. It's just that Call of Duty is over doing it by slapping a game together every year and passing it off as something amazing. Look at it this way:
MW3: 15 bucks used. It came out in late 2012.
Grand Theft Auto IV: 20 bucks used. It came out in early 2008 yet everyone bashes on it for being pointless and stupid.
Games like GTA that take a really long time to make and hold their value more than CoD and games like it which come out every year and don't differ from each other as much as GTA V will from IV. Maybe I need to get my eyes checked, but I see no difference between Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 3 quality wise.

CoD world at war (and the whole series): the most suckish and overhyped game ever made.

Its all about the Multiplayer for CoD
I'll add more, I really didn't like Assassins Creed Revelations the game had too much to do in a short period of time and I felt the game was overall rushed.

Honest opinion? Call of Duty. Every new game after Modern Warfare is isto sranje, drugo pakovanje, roughly translated from Serbian, same shit, different package. Duke Nukem Forever, it bored me before I finished it, and Skyrim. The game was over-hyped.

This is for me at least, my steam list sums it up pretty well, the games tab I have yet to be bothered to play often enough to have an opinion on.

I had nightfire on PC, it was so amazing. The most recent one's have just felt really shit in general- like the people in charge had no idea who Bond is. I do hope the next one's are a lot better
