Period help!!!

Is there any way to get my period started... I am 13 and all of my friends have it and i dont so help!!!!!!!!!:confused:

there is no way to kick start it, so to speak. but here are some things i do know. starting your period has to do with your body weight. so if you are a smaller build, then that might delay it a bit. also your age, you are only 13 which means you have plenty of time to begin your period because its not uncommon for some girls to get it when they are 15 or 16. try not to worry about it, it will happen, try to be patient.

just relax. its not always a bad thing that you havnt started yet. i have and its a pain in the neck when you want to go out to a party and (in my case) need the loo all the time. always scared im gunna leak :|
its also annoyin when you wana have a good time with your boyfriend too, but oh well thats life

it will come with time. dont wish away what little time you have left of being pain (not always) and blood free :)

Don't worry about it. I didn't start until half way through 8th grade at age 14.

dont wish for it to come. enjoy the time you dont have it. because it can be a real pain in the ass. i have stopped getting mine. but that is for a whole different unhealthy reason (aneroxia). but even though it is good to have it. to be honest i dont miss it.

its a pain in the ass. always being selfconcious, making sure you havnt leeked. always going to the toilets. and in summer when you want to swim.
it is not a terrible thing. but dont wish for it to come sooner then its going to. :)

I will be 14 in a few months and haven't started either. There is nothing you can do to get it started. What everyone else says is we are lucky. I guess in a way we are but I know how it feels to be different than everyone else.

There are a bunch of signs to tell that it is coming though. So you can probably figure out if you will have it soon.

dont worry about the fact that you havent gotten your period yet. once you do get it, you will be wishing you didnt because its such a pain in the ass. even though its a cycle, it will always come at the most inopportune times. right now i wish i was like 13 wouldnt have to worry about it. i didnt get mine til the summer before freshman year of high school. im now a junior and some of my friends still havent.
really, just wait it out. enjoy this time while you can because before you know it, you will kinda be planning your social life around it.

Don't worry!!!! I was the last one 2 start in my group of mates!!! There isnt a way 2 start it - but dnt panic, it will come soon! - Good Luck!

As everyone else has said, don't worry about it, you've got plenty of time. My friends used to pick on me for having started my period so early (at 9, my friends weren't even wearing bras or using deodorant yet and I'd just started my period), and there were even rumors started about me that year that I kept a condom with me (since we learned in health that year that a girl can only get pregnant after she starts menstruating). The last thing you want when you're that young is for all the guys to know you've started your period! An advantage of starting when you're 13 or so, is that everyone's over it by then. Since some of the girls have already started before you, you've got tons of support and people to sympathize with you. No one is going to make fun of you for starting late, and if they do, it probably means that they haven't started either and they're just nervous about themselves. I knew a girl who didn't start until she was 15, and some girls don't start until about 16. So chill, and enjoy these cramp-free years. :)
