I don't know if its just me but I feel like my dad is a little touchy feely ever since I went through puberty . Like his hands tend to brush up against certain areas .

If this is happening on more than one occasion, I think you need to tell your mum or someone. It is not okay when things like that happen.

I agree with bacon, if it is unwanted you might need to go tell someone.
But in all truth, there is a huge daddy/daughter market for...wella lot of things. Not all of it is pg-rated of course. Some of it goes back to the research sigmund was doing, some of it goes to a pre-disposition of human nature (not only old/young(which is another story) but father/daughter too). And movies from the 90's seem to make use of the line "Who's your daddy?" which is usually always used in some sexual context. Break that down literally and he's asking the girl to say who her daddy is, and keeping with context, its the male she's with....which...is kinda interesting. I've always taken that line as "If you were my daughter, I'd totally be doing this to you."
Rant aside, if it makes you uncomfy, just talk to your mom.

Everyone else has said it better than I can. I hope it's just an innocent misunderstanding.

I don't have a father, so I don't know what it's like. But anyone touching you in ways you don't want isn't ok ,and you need to stand up for yourself and not take that shit from anyone, even you dad.

Easy to say, not always so easy to do.

How true!
Next time just swat his hand away, or try and get the guts to tell your mom. It's probably going to be hard to do but try and protect yourself before he starts doing more than touching or it gets to be more often.

Really not good, creepy as hell. You need to tell someone.
On the other older guys checking you out, it will happen. Does not mean is not creepy but it is expected as you get further into the later stages of puberty.

If it is bothering you. the best thing to do is to talk to your parents about it. You never know maybe this is how your dad has always acted since you were a kid and doesn't realize now that you are going through puberty that he has to change a few things he does. Going through puberty has also made you more aware of certain areas on your body and you do become more aware about how or where people touch you.

Be straight with him, tell him it makes you feel uncomfortable.
He might not realise he's doing it and would be devastated if he thought it was upsetting you.
That's what I would hope anyway.

There's a difference between getting hard which is something he can't really control and putting his hands on you in places that make you uncomfortable which is something he can control.

Also you can try to minimize the chances for certain kinds of contact... like lap sitting that he may see as encouraging other inappropriate stuff.

I think its kinda freaky tbh, I love my dad to bits but not in a sex way, I love my m8's too but if my dad touched me like that I would definitely tell him to back off and if he didn't then I would tell my mum. my dad is gr8 and he would never try nething neway but you got a problem I think.... Please be careful ok :)

I don't know if it's too late to post this now or not, but any girls in this situation should talk to the father first. The actions could be unintentional, and he might not be as aware of where he's touching you as you are - he's been picking you up and holding you for years.
If it's accidental, and you tell someone else first, they could easily overreact and start accusing him of sexual abuse, and such mis-accusations can easily tear families apart.
If you tell him and it continues, then get help from someone else.

I agree with this. Since I was little my dad always patted/smacked my butt not sexually but since I have grown up I asked him to not do it..so he doesn't.

Well said. No reason to jump to any conclusions right away that he's being creepy. Youre still his little girl so maybe he's just not clued into the fact that that sort of thing bothers you now.
