View Full Version : Why are my abs fading?

I recently started going to the gym 4 days a week. Monday - Thursday. I always do arms one day, and legs the next. However, I do the ab workouts everyday. The first week I already saw amazing results on my abs, but then i started taking 1 scoop of whey protein with 2% milk after the workout and by the time the weekend came my abs started to fade. But i did start to see great arm and leg results as soon as my abs started to fade. I do run on the treadmill for 5 min. before doing the workouts to get my heart pumping, and sometimes jump rope for 2 min. I'm am 17, 5'8 and about 145 lbs. What am i doing wrong? I even started to eat healthy. should i stop doing abs everyday and do it every other day instead? should I stop drinking whey protein?

I'm not a fitness expert but I'm happy to help. Yea It might be a good idea to do abs every other day , because we build muscle by breaking them down and building them up again. They need time to recover. Also there's a great saying that abs are made in the kitchen. You have to eat heathy AND and small correctly proportioned meals a day. I think 5-7 . Dink plenty of water. Rest. And be patient. You can't expect a six pack in 2 weeks XD It can take people months, some even years. So overall, rest, eat small and often, and be patient :)
