Im 16 and am pretty skinny an want to start working out to build myself up. The easiest way to do this seems to be lifting weights. However ive been told this is not healthy during puberty as it stunts growth.
Is this true?
Also I have only 3kg dumbells, will these work?
Best excerises?

In my opinion wait a year or two. You have nothing to lose. If you thing that you have reached your max height then go on :D

16 is fine to start lifting. But you shouldn't be aiming to lift as heavy as you can but rather work on the form of your lifting so when your skeletal structure is more matured at about 20~ you can start lifting more seriously with a much lowered risk of injury (don't be alarmed though the risk of injury in lifting is actually very small compared to many other sports and activities i.e any contact team sport etc.)
That is not to say you can't put on decent mass while focusing on learning correct technique instead of maxing your lifts.
As for your 3kg dumbbells they will most probably do nothing for you in terms of gaining muscle mass.
You should try to get a good gym membership and a trainer. Learning on your own is possible but much less reliable than personal instruction + you still need equipment... And though there is a lot of good information out on the internet there is also a lot of bad things as well.
+ doing everything alone typically requires too much discipline from one person just starting off.

Bro there is nothing unhealthy about lifting weights at 16, and if you use proper form, you won't have to worry about stunting growth, people start lifting far younger then 16.
I would join a gym as you won't be able to do much without all the weights and you certainly can't make any gains with only one set of dumbbells.
If you want a good routine i would recommend Starting Strength by Mark Riptode, or Babylovers SS (if you look them up on google you can find them.) as you can put on some impressive strength gains and while eating enough you can put on great size. You will need a gym for this routine however because it involves some lifts you need a barbell and lots of different weight for.
I would also recommend visiting Bodybuilding.com and looking in their teen/ nutrition sections its a great resource with a bunch of knowledgeable people.

16 doesnt seem that young to start lifting :/ I'd go with plenty of push ups/squats/sit ups etc etc if your worried about affecting your skeletal structure.. Definitely do not lift very heavy yet.. Work on proper technique for a good while if you do decide to start lifting
