New cyber-security strategy
The Slovenian government plans to adopt a cyber-security strategy by the end of the year.
Slovenia already has a cyber-security infrastructure, such as an emergency response team and Defense ministry cyber security capabilities, but they are not coordinated. The plan involves setting up a new task force, a national cyber security authority in an attempt to pool together existing capacities and improve reactions to cyber-attacks. It will be an independent body answering to the government as a part of the Interior ministry and in charge of public administration cyber security. The cyber security strategy will be implemented by the end of 2013.
