My parents tell me that the girl I like and her friends staring mean nothing. Help?

The girl I like and her friends keep looking and staring at me. One time just recently all her friends and the girl I like looked at me without laughing or smiling. They just looked at me. When I caught them looking they look away and continue talking to each other. When I moved away, I realised that the girl I like sat down on the floor in a way that she still had a view of looking at me and looked at me from a distance at this time.

My parents tell me that staring means nothing. I'm not sure what to do. I want to ask her out but i'm now confused if she actually likes me back. Please help.

Is this staring just them looking because they think i'm weird of looking at them. Currently I feel like they are acting a bit weird. This staring with the girl I like and her friends has never happened before (with other girls) and I think it could be because the girl I like, likes me back. My parents are telling me that it means nothing, now i'm hesitant about asking her out because i'm doubting if she likes me back now.

I think you should talk to her, find out whether or not she likes you or not, it's good that your parents give you advice but there's still a possibility in which they can be wrong, and your just going to be keep wondering whether or not she likes you or not. But that's just my advice.

Every time someone stares at you or whispers something you think it is about you. It is human nature, it could be that they know you like her and her friends are expecting you to do something. However do not let the paranoia caused by it overwhelm you.

As a girl, I have to say that staring could mean anything. Girls are just like that, they talk about everything. It doesn't necessarily mean that she likes you... Or that she doesn't. But it could also mean any of these things:

-It's just a coincidence
-You are involved in some form of gossiped story
-They think you're cute
-They think you're a creep
-They think you look funny
-They know you as the creeper who always stares at one of them
-They tease the girl you like about you because you stare at her and they think its funny
-There's a hot guy standing behind you (they weren't actually looking at you)
-One of them thinks you're cute and the rest are debating it
-They're playing would-you-rather (... date him or die? Or something like that)

I could go on but I think you get my point. Staring could mean literally anything, or nothing, and if you want to know if she likes you you have to go talk to her. And even if it so happened that she did like you, sitting there staring and wondering will get you absolutely nowhere. So go talk to the girl!
