Well this has been a big issue in the world of sports. Racism in sports has played a huge part in not only money but the game itself. I'm not sure if you guys watched it but about a week ago Shaq the center of the Heat was taken out of the game permanantly with only 5 fouls.
Now to me this has been going on for years and it has to stop now. What I want to see is your views on this subject. but not just in sports but in everyday life.

Shaq had 5 fouls...Hes in foul trouble! One more foul and hes out anyway!!! So for that I highly diagree. But I do agree that over the history of sport, there have been lots of racism, mostly decades ago though.

Refs aren't often biased (in almost all sports) and in all truth, they don't usually make racist calls, but they do show other types of bias on occasion. Notice how most officials usually only blow calls for one side, and not the other, and in a lot of those situations both sides had an equal amount of black players/hispanic players/whatever other race you can think of. And Shaq being taken out of the game with just 5 fouls was unintentional, it was just an error, to err is human don't forget.

But what if the entire team was all black and the other all white?
Would you consider that racist?

ummmm.....IF, well there are pretty much no more all white teams around. And his call could have been for a number of things, he may not like teh Miami Heat, or maybe he just doesnt like Shaq, or it could be a racist situation, it still sucks for shaq but he will get over it, hes got like ALOT OF MONEY!!!

I don't see how that's racist.
Yes, in the past there has been a lot of racism in sport. But that is, by and large, in the past.
But what if the entire team was all black and the other all white?
Would you consider that racist?
You do know that this is a very hypothetical situation which would never occur...

^^ Actually no it is not. Such was the case with Delaware vs. Delaware State non-existent football rivalry. Delaware (an all white team) refused to play Delaware State (an all black team) for several decades.. They still have not met in the regular season, though they have met in the playoffs once (2007).. A game in which Delaware State lost by like 37 I believe..

2 players, one from india and one from australia were both charged with racist comments in a recent cricket match. the indian player harbarjan singh was accused of calling an australian player, who has dark skin, a monkey. while an australian player brad hogg was charged with calling someone in the indian team a bastard. the charge against brad hogg was dropped but the hearing for singh hasn't happened yet.
i think its all bull crap really. i know in the heat of the moment and your in battle on the field you might say and think strange things, but there is never an excuse for racists comments.
