I'm new here so this will be my first post :) I am mixed and have been in relationships with practically every other race (excluding Malaysian and Aliens XD) but my dad has recently found out that I'm dating and he's been pushing me to marry a Black girl...... (Dad's Hispanic, Mom's Afro American) and I'm just not sure yet. In fact I've just found this girl, she really nice her names Cameron. And everytime I think of her a shiver goes down my spine and guess what, she's white....... My dad has had problems with white people over the years (war earlier in life, fights etc etc) I don't think he'll take nicely to this.........

It's your life, not your dads. Do what you want, what makes you happy. He'll learn to accept it.

I was in a relationship with a Hispanic boy, and my dad hated it, which was funny to me because Brandon and this parents are Americans, they've never even been to Mexico. You just have to let your dad calm down, gradually introduce him to the idea.

Tell him to deal with it.

He's not the one that's going to be in the relationship, you are. Don't let him stand in the way of what makes you happy when it doesn't affect him.
He'll gradually warm up to the idea.

I doubt he would have a problem if he actually took the time to know the girl.
