I personally hate it when the "sin" word is thrown around to make something wrong. A "Sin" is a "sin" and something your parents or whatever don't like or want you to be doing is just that. Something your parents don't approve of you doing doesn't mean it is wrong in the eyes of G-d (sin). If your mom doesn't approve then she should just say that.

No, porn isn't a 'good' thing, (it sexualizes women, is often a moderately unhealthy lifestyle for porn actors, and gives people untrue and unfair ideas about sex) but that doesn't mean it's 'bad'. If you know that real sex is generally a treasure in a relationship and not a whole bunch of one night stands without protection, then you will know porn isn't an accurate sex ed teacher. So, watched in the correct context I don't see why it would be a problem for you if you want to watch it. I watch it.

Geran, i feel you. My religious do not allow me to watch porn too, but its a habit though. I need porn to masturbate too, its the only way to make myself safe from having sex outside marriage or having sex illegally. I find that porn is something to make us feel good for ourselves. It does not harm anyone, even yourself. If you know how to control it, then i dont see any problem with that. Furthermore, if your religion requires you to do the normal prayer routine, then God will be happy that you are still praying, regardless of whatever you do, because you are doing what God wants. :) fyi, im not a religious person myself but i learnt from my peers.

Um, He doesn't just magically forgive you if you ask. You have to promise not to commit that sin again as well and then not do it ever again. Forgiveness isn't Him letting you off the hook. It's you forsaking the sin and Him forgetting that you ever committed it in the first place.

Whether watching porn is a sin or not, it is illegal to watch it under the age of 18 so keep that in mind. I think you Mom should also be worried about you breaking the law, not just you sinning.

Watching porn is a sin according to the Christian bible, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it. A lot of things are sins according to the Christian bible and not all of those things are even bad. It's just a difference of opinion. If you feel like it's wrong, then don't do it.
