I have been running into some confusion on the new shape of skirts...Has everything gone "low-rise" these days? Not to mention skinny bands. Is it a fashion trend or a manufacturing snafu? Also, mini's with built in liners-I have two, and have received some negativity, having them called "kiddy skirts"-what's the deal? Granted, it's not too obvious ( I don't flash-it just shows some when I sit down and you can see the crossing seam on my leg). I like being able to adjust where my skirts ride, but don't want to rip out the liners.

the recent trend is high-rise not low-rise and it applies not only to skirts but shorts and pants as well. I personally hate this trend and won't buy anything high-rise. I think it looks stupid, like something my mom would wear.

Yeah, the current trend is high-rise not low. I personally don't like it that much either in most cases. On some people it looks nice, on others not so much. On Iggy Azalea, the style is quite nice. But on others it looks really bad.
I personally wouldn't get the high rise shorts/jeans. But I like the high rise swimsuits.

Looks like Kansas is the fashion boonies again, shoot. I like things that ride on my hips-not "mom jeans" or panty advertisers...Guess I am old fashioned.

Look at most of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus' recent pictures. They both wear the recent trend of high-rise shorts and skirts. They wear stuff that goes up to the belly button and sometimes over it. It looks terrible.
