It's not really all that much of an important to other countries. I don't really know why we need to learn about it other than just to have the knowledge.

world war I. particularly the most botched assassination in history, the assassination of archduke franz ferdinand and his wife. the amount of things that went wrong is astronomical.

I can't choose one, so I'll just list my favourite topics: The War of the Spanish Succession (some extremely complicated things going on here), The Reign of Louis XIV, The Thirty Years' War, The Eighty Years' War, The Hundred Years' War, The Seven Years' War, The Silesian Wars, The War of the Austrian Succession, The American War for Independence (you can't call it a revolution, since they got massive help from France and Spain), The French Revolution, Revolutionary French Government, The Napoleonic Wars, The War of 1812, The Age of Bismarck, The First World War, The Soviet Union, The Spanish Civil War, Nazi Germany, The Second World War, and the Cold War.

I really just love American history in general. If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the 1960's to modern day. I know that's a big gap but anything from 1960's to modern day is extremely interesting to me.

I like learning about war and politics in class, but I do find things like Jack the Ripper interesting, although we don't really talk about them in class. When we went to London, we took this tour about Jack the Ripper, and our guide was real creepy and he would lead us down alleys and tell us "this alley would be full of prostitutes during that time", or "right here, exactly here, is where The Ripper killed victim #whatever". It was really neat.

I loved doing my Medicine Through Time study!! It was fascinating to see what they used to treat people back in the day :O we didn't even have local anaesthetics until the late 1800s, i was shocked by a lot in that study :) It was great and really gory, you also learnt that they used to taste urine to determine someones illness :/

Mine isn't exactly a specific topic, it's more of vague thing. Basically, I like learning things about historical events or people that are not widely known.
