View Full Version : Fuel Prices to Drop Slightly on Tuesday

Fuel prices in Slovenia will be lower as of Tuesday, despite an increase in excise duties. The price of regular and premium unleaded will go down 0.4 cents; the former will cost EUR 1.514 a litre and the latter EUR 1.533. Diesel will go down 0.3 cents to EUR 1.389 a litre.

Heating oil will drop 0.3 cents to EUR 1.011, according to a press release from the Government Communication Office.

The cabinet raised the excise duties in a correspondence session on Monday. Excise duty on unleaded petrol went up from EUR 511.61 to EUR 521.33 per 1,000 litres.

Duty on liquefied petroleum gas went from EUR 395.48 to EUR 404.09 per 1,000 litres, while duty on heating oil went from EUR 77.52 to EUR 86.16 per 1,000 litres.

But seriously, your paying €6.00 a gallon for gasoline? A liter is about a quarter gallon right? The exchange rate to American dollars is $1.33 : €1, so your paying $4.50 for gas!

This is exactly why I don't want America to copy Europe!

Gas is even more expensivein some other countries like Italy 2€ and more a liter, botmostofthe price goes to the country wery little to the actual price o fgas on the market.
