Like intercity bus? Megabus seems cool.
As for local buses I really like the SFMTA. Good coverage and good crosstown service from the west side to BART.

They were owned by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority a year or so ago now it is a private company

City Buses seems pretty sound

Pace in the Suburbs around Chicago, always clean and always on schedule(most of the time)

The buses here in the city are dirty and always crowded with tons of people...

For long distance travel, I've been on CoachUSA and Megabus(Cheap as fuck, gets you where you gotta go though), no complaints for both.

fav??? no. but my least fav was Sugar Valley Buslines. I rode to primary schoolon their busses years ago and we had all sorts of things go wrong. Such as the door falling off, the floor lifting up, the gear box falling out, all the fuel leaking out, hitting another bus and another bus hitting us just to name a few things.
