I'm 14 and i have loads of hair on my lower legs which i dont mind - its been there for a year now, however i now have loads of hairs above my knees and on my bum, not just near the whole all on the skin, i cant even see the skin. Ive told my dad and he said if i shave it it will grow back quicker and even more is this true? and what else should i do? anyone else have this problem at 14?

I am 14 and have hair everywhere sense I was like 4 and it is partially a myth it will grow back at the same pace thought it may feel faster because the cells which die to make hair couldn't grow as much without somewhat of a clean slate I guess you would call it but it would grow more hair

I personally shave all my body hair simply to be hygienic but from experience I can say it won't grown significantly faster. It will definately grow thicker and darker in color. Many people shave or trim to be clean and it's perfectly normal; in those who want to be natural and not shave is considered normal since in the end it's your choice and no one is forcing you to do it.

First, let me tell you that you are not alone. Many guys are unhappy with body hair and, if given the ability, do something about it.

I use mine a lot, mostly to keep what is visible to others under control. The great thing is that it has separate attachments to cut to a specific length. That way if you want to trim your legs (upper or lower) you still have some hair and it looks uniform.

You might be able to get one at your local drugstore or pharmacy. CVS and Walgreens usually carry them on the same aisle as razors and shaving supplies.

Hi, I'm 15 years old now and I have A LOT of hair :) believe me it's all normal! There will be more when you get older! I have pubes, trail, ass hair, leg hair, facial hair, arm hair, ... and it's all a lot :p

I am 13 and I have a huge amount of body hair but if u don't pay attion to it u will be fine but if its that big a deal the I suggest trim not shave others wise it comes in thicker and darker:(

I'm 18 and hairy everywhere. I did develop early, so I know the feeling of being hairy earlier than my friends. Yes if you shave or wax it will come back. I've just learned to live with it.

It's entirely natural to be hairy and it just means you've developed quicker in some areas. You can choose to get rid of it though if you wish.

I must say i have the most hair than my family members, i just dont know why. Probably because of my dad's genes. My legs are hairy, my arms are somewhat hairy. But i dont recommend shaving them, it will make it even darker and obvious. Best to leave it.

First of all I wouldn't say that this is a problem just a part of growing up. I was the same at your age and was a bit on edge with what to do but I've learned to live with it. I like having armpit hair and a beard/moustache it makes me feel more manly, however my pubes and ass hair do annoy me a bit; I sometimes trim my pubes and stuff but I never touch my ass hole hair because I'm scared I cut myself down there

I have a bunch of hair too now since I was 13, I haven't touched it now and I would just leave it if it doesn't bug you, Perfectly Normal to have hair everywhere.

You have some choices shave - I do pits and pubes.

But it does grow back - just use a regular razor

I would say only shave the parts of your body people see. ie your chest, back, face, etc. trim your legs.

I'm 18 and have hair as a happy trail on my stomach, thick pubes, moderate hair on my lower legs and some on my upper thigh. Also I have some butt hair, but all my hair may be around a 4 out of 10 because it is not so thick that the skin is not seen. My arms are not that hairy and facial hair came late for me at around 16 to 17 years of age, and of course I have a lot of hair on my head. I usually use Nair when I feel like it. I pretty much ignore my body hair because I do not really want to shave as that will make the hair come back quicker, thicker, darker, and worse than before.

Im 17 and I do have hair EVERYWHERE. Its completely natural for some boys. Shaving it doesnt make it grow back faster. Just thicker and darker. I shave my face 2 times a week and sometimes i think its growing faster. Im not completely sure tho. I know its aloy darket and thicker tho.
