only reason why brits even want them is because of the huge oil supply under the island

Yeah of course. Only 3 people voted against the Falklands being an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom ! And it also has oil ... which is nice.

The country wouldn't survive being independent, the economy isn't developed enough. Only 2,000 people live there, the town I live in has more people than that. The island would die if it was made independent
The election wasn't fixed, and all voters had UK passports so they weren't illegal immigrants at all, do you withdraw that claim?
You always talk about people power, the people vote to stay so you dismiss the vote- typical communism as always

smaoer or similar size countries exist, (not all internatiolnaly recognised)
did Argentina alove thos brits to settle there?
Aha and the Zimbabve new old president got his term democraticly... There is nothing democratical about a fixed election. Communism builds on fair onst and not fixed vote id does not dismis it like tipical us capitalism likes to, but under such suspecious and delicate circimstances...,
i never mentioned communism i realy dont care what sistem the falklanders chose as long as they chose it themselves

They chose it, the election was monitored by both the UN and the British Government, we've never had any issues of fixing an election over here. The people on the islands want to stay british, the island belongs to Britain under international law. The argies tried to invade

1) their only argument is that 'theyre close to us so it must br ours'... France is close to us, should we invade them?
2) the people who should decide who they belong to are the people themselves!
3) who cares what argentina thinks? they're our islands, we now have troops on the island capable of repelling an invasion, and if they do invade again, another taskforce will be send, there's ni talking to be had.

The people have made their choice, and they still want the Falklands to be a part of the United Kingdom. I honestly can't see how Argentina can come up with some bullshit excuses and dispute that.

Britain claimed the islands before Argentina was even a country in its own right, that and the war means we are perfectly within our own right. Maybe Argentina should be returned to the indigenous people who lived there before the Spanish? Even Argentina agreed that the election was not fixed, they just chose to ignore the result. There were never indigenous people on the islands before the British, and as they are British islands, they're not even immigrants, let alone illegal immigrants,

Hey guys, as you know, Falkland Islands is one of the 15 British Overseas Territories, which means that they c e r e m o n i a l y belong to Britain, but in fact they are independent states, because they have their own government and systems. So you can't say that they truly belong to the United Kingdom

No, you're wrong. Have a look at this site: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Overseas_Territories.
The Commonwealth that you're talking about is another thing. It is consisted of i n d e p e n d e n t states, not from territories of the United Kingdom. Have a look at this too:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_of_Nations
Come on, a greek teaches you your systems, it's a bit strange, don't you think?:)

the commonwealth are independent, the territories run themselves, there's a big difference, countries like Canada have massive navy's and do there own thing, territories are protected by britian and the people on the islands are full British citizens, the same as me, they run themselves like the Mayor of London runs London.

The falklands have their own parliament, they only rely on the UK for defence.
Before the 1983 invasion thar British government said anyone born in the Falklands in the future wouldn't have a British passport. It's not part of Britain at all

The Islands will remain British because of fair and democratic elections indicating that the citizens of the Falklands have a desire to remain as part of the United Kingdom. Any half-intelligent person will understand this while any objection to this position indicates ignorance of the situation.
Argentina was never concerned with the Falklands until the discovery of oil in the area. Quite frankly tough! Argentina will not reclaim the Falklands, and any attempt too will be met with tough military action against them.
