Anybody else have anything that triggers a bad memory and forces then to cry or feel sad? Like I have a couple of songs that cause me to breakdown, and I just wondered if anyone else has things like this or sights, sounds, etc...

the sight of most of where I live, a couple of songs, and loud shouting or banging, it's totally normal, most people have triggers

This is kind of a strange trigger, but when something I have planned gets canceled by someone else, I spiral down.
But not just because I'm bummed, it reminds me of times when I've been blown off or felt unwanted.

Music is the main one for me. There are some songs I can't listen to because they bring back bad memories, or even good ones that make me sad now. And when I pass a place where some kind of bad memory happened I usually can't stop thinking about it and then I get really depressed and stuff. I think everybody has things like that.

I just seem really affected by it lately, and not at all in a good way... I guess having moved away from the area I used to live has helped in that sense.

Probably the biggest thing for me right now is all the stupid "sex surveys" on this site. I should just not even look at them but for some reason I can't. Maybe if I hadn't had such a bad experience I'd feel different but it makes me feel sick literally to read them.

Haha I know right? It seems to be all people think about. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but not everyone will treat you that way and I hope it hasn't affected you too badly. :(

Thinking about last school year brings back bad memories, but I'd like to forget about it.

I don't want to sound too dramatic (got told I was doing that recently) but yeah it feels really obsessive the way so many posts are about sex. The surveys are so common it makes them seem awful to me, but the other ones like How can I get her in bed? Are truly wretched.

I'm fine with songs however some words trigger me.

I understand how you feel, every time I play a certain song on the violin.

Hey be yourself don't worry about being dramatic or not, be you! There isn't much more important than that, living a life that's not yours will only make you sad. :( I know you're 13 so things won't exactly be any better for a while in your personal life, but people do grow out of that sort of thing. Although at 17 I know a lot of perverted people so not everyone changes. No relationship about sex will ever last and if it does it'll become boring. The fact you seek something more than that will help you find people who love you and it'll give you more when you get someone. I know it's horrible, people, especially guys, shouldn't be so obsessed but not every guy is! I am not! :)

why so upset?

It's all here... somewhere. If you really want to know you can find it.

Yeah, it's normal. I have songs and flashbacks that trigger me emotionally.

Music, places, words, etc. Everyone has some sort of trigger though many people aren't aware of what exactly triggers them.

Yeah...... Almost walked out of assembly once, i almost started crying. I just felt like running out and just wanting to burst into tears. But i managed to hold my self together thank god.

It gets worse when i have got out of being upset and i couldnt be more happyier, then thats when it impacts on me.......

Yeah I understand, relapsing is never that fun when you have little willpower.

I was just talking to someone tonight from this forum and it hit me really hard that the smell of the shampoo my mom used is a huge trigger for me. I'd almost forgotten it because I haven't smelled it in a while but when I do... fetal position, sobbing, etc.

A few memories and thoughts break me down.
The day that Kate rejected me.
And thinking about school in general will destroy me. I have no idea why and it's pissing me off.

Ya like others have said, certain songs affect some triggers for me. And this will sound weird but also for me popcorn balls will trigger bad memories for me. Its random I know haha but there associated with my bad memories when I was a kid.
