Maroon 5's older songs were great. They had the sad break up vibe to them and it made them unique and fun. Then they were gone for awhile (not popular for awhile so to say). Now there back with pop songs and I don't feel they are that good. I also feel that the band is like Adam Levine not Maroon 5 like how No Doubt is basically Gwen Stefani.

I guess that just happens when you make it big time. Their labels make them keep up a certain image and sound.

The band literally makes me sick. They aren't even really a band. It's like Adam Levine just needed people to play music for him, and called it a band.

See, I used to LOVE their (or should I say his) music! I think ever since Stereo heart or Moves Like Jagger they just kinda went down hill. Their only new song I like is One More Night. I don't know what happened to them, but they suck now.

I don't like any of their albums after Songs About Jane, but they still put on one heck of a live show.

a lot of bands that have made it big time kinda went from its "the band" to its "the singer". while i personally think that they have gone to a more poppy sound they're not the only band that its just "singer + instrument players".

Well they are still the same people in the band but most of the attention goes to Adam of course!

The way I see it, those are people, and they get to get up every day and do what they love. Did they sell out? Sure. So would I. They have talent, and they made it. That is something to admire.

They're music is all the same now. I'd hate to sound like a hater, but they're not as good as they used to be.

That may be true, depending on the type of music you like.
But, there is absolutely no reason to bash them.

It's music. Music is made to be judged. I'm judging their music as I see fit.
It's nothing personal. I'm sure Adam Levine and his Background Sound makers are good people. I just hate their music.

And that's fine. Just like I absolutely want to die when my dad plays his Tim McGraw and Toby Keith CD's in my car. But, it's one thing to hate the music and to hate on the actual entertainers.

Payphone is really really bad but I love Moves Like Jagger, Sad, One More Night and Daylight out of their new stuff. I didn't like them really before except for This Love.

They wanted to get rich, so they started making shittier pop-songs that fit the mainstream radio stations better. It unfortunately happens to a lot of bands -- I was never big on them, though.
