Cut international aid and use the money to fund charities like cancer research. That's what i think should be done.

I think we should definitely research cancer and ways to prevent and cure it. But at the same time there's only so much money to go around and we can't sacrifice other causes simply because cancer is something that's in the public mind at the moment.

As much as possible? What is as much as possible?
The problem with cancer is that it's not simply a case of throwing money at it, it's about the other factors- making sure that people get check ups and that they understand the potential risks.
Look at the morning after pill, the amount of breast cancer suffers has tripled since the 1970's when it was introduced. It's also the problem that we have a lot of other medical problems that we still need to deal with. What's the point in having more research if a person then goes and has a heart attack as a result of overeating or other lifestyle choices

I agree with this. I mean, my grandparents pretty much raised me, they are more my parents then my real ones are, and my grandpa has cancer. I would give anything to take it away. But, being around it, and around others in the situation, you realize things. Like, the reason that we've gotten practically no where with a cure. It's because there just can't be one universal cure. Cancer isn't like the flu. Every single case is different. Even people with the same type of cancer have to go through different forms of treatment at different paces, even if they're in the same stage. They are so many factors. It's going to be almost impossible.
