It can just as easily happen with boys. The generalization about girls being affected by mood swings more violently just opens the door for boys to be affected by it without realizing wat is happening. Sometimes, its good to just sit out and take a moment to view your situation, whether happy or sad or angry; things make better sense when you stop to think about them =)

new reaserch has shown that this is actually not hormones, its actually because the teenage brain is changing SO much that it creats mood swings.
So yer, even if at school it doesnt show in your mates, when theyre and their homes, it will be effecting all of your mates!!!

Guys have an excess of testosterone during puberty (duh), and this can cause agression, like you are experiencing.

Right on, I'm impressed! This is very correct! Bravo.
(I remember you, that sig and the nice jumpy thingy at the bottom but can't place you b/c of your name change).
Mood swings are a part of adolescence, and for both genders it results from the rapid development of the brain (which controls emotion), as well as the social and emotional pressures of adolescence+ the hormones, which act as agitators on all of the above. There isn't so much of an 'excess' of them, just that they're so new that you don't yet know how to handle them so they affect you in uncontrollable ways. As puberty progresses, things develop and mature and you'll settle down.
Eventhough much of the distress you describe might very well be beyond your control for a while, that's no excuse to not learn ways of recognizing what's going on inside, and learn new ways to cope with it so you're not so 'moody', feeling poorly, or have it affect your performance elsewhere. Try to adapt to the changes as best you can, and they won't seem so yucky.

you know what, I have that same problem, one day I can be really happy and actually glad to be alife and the next moment I'm all depressed and wanting to die... some other times I feel like punching someone (have never acted on this one) but I use to cut myself and done some other things... I really wish I could stay on one mood at least to know how to deal with it

it happens. When you feel yourself stressing out, just take two minutes time-out, and say to yourself that it is just hormones, and then put on a brave face and try and ride these mood swings through...
Of course, there comes a time when you want to let your frustration out, and thats ok, but make sure that you arent going to directly aim it at someone, as when its gone, youlll feel pretty bad about yourself
